Harvesting user impact stories from users of the ADMG Solution Product CASEI

Ultimate Goal

Write up some "quick" user stories about ADMG. Anita discovered by talking with Deborah and Stephanie that there weren't any quick ones, for lots of reasons. We have collectively decided to meet a couple times and plan how we can bring more visibility to CASEI, engage with existing stakeholders (whoever they are), and hopefully find new stakeholders.

2024-05-09 SNWG SEP Weekly Meeting

Feedback from Gerald: Impact story for ADMG needs to focus on agency usage. Anita: we didn’t sent Stephanie a template, but Steph gave Anita names of folks to reach out to for templates. DCD did draft a template previously that we could share. Emphasize focus on agency usage.

2024-05-02 SNWG SEP Weekly Meeting

Previously: Anita/Rachel correspond with ADMG folks for usage stories. Pending user story template and response from Deborah and Stephanie. Confirmed go ahead with Solution Impact Story template as it exists now. Stephanie on break. Anita will get with her next week.
- Action Complete: Anita set up meeting for May 1 with Stephanie/Deborah to discuss usage stories.
- Current: Had the meeting; some challenges: CASEI isn’t quite finished and don’t want to advertise too widely yet. From the SEP perspective, we could be a bit more hands-on with that. They do have people who are interested. There are completed datasets there. We could find those users and reach out. They do have Google analytics. Katrina may have access to that folder (Slacked to Anita). They have an action to make a list of potential end users for us, and will send us info on their webinar. They are happy to have us help 🙂

ADMG will participate in GHRC UWG this Fall. ADMG and GHRC are discussing a pathway to showcasing use of CASEI and GHRC tools from the perspective of a science end user. More details coming.

Stephanie has asked that the SEP help them with an end user survey for known end users. Stephanie is writing survey and will ask SEP to review it. Potentially SEP can help post as a google form and send to end users. SEP (Anita) will also provide some agency POCs to send survey to.

2024-08-22 SNWG SEP Weekly Meeting USFS PoC: Everrett Hinckley (sp?) Action: Anita track CASEI used at USFS; meeting scheduled 9/5/24 CASEI debrief and usage CASEI is reaching end-of-life. What is happening with it in the future? Anita. Stephanie, DAAC met to discuss strategizing funding justification in a future meeting with stakeholders. CASEI seems to not actually be ready for public use. This is where co-design can be beneficial for up and coming solutions. Does CASEI know who their end-users are? Steph asked Anita to assist with surveying end-users to garner interest and define use expectations. Why is it considered not ready? Possibly because CASEI is not fully exhaustive of all resources. Might not be a realistic expectation and concerns should be alleviated. How to help with this? Show the existing utility and plan for the future utility? Katie B. may be able to assuage concerns with Stephanie. Natasha talk to Carlos about email mentioning sub-orbital that ADMG may apply to. Stephanie sent webinar survey responses to Anita to review. Focus on, but don’t obsess over CASEI rehab.
