Once an Earth Action website is put together, I think they'll also be available there. I imagine they'll also be used in general outreach activities to give folks a quick run-down of what the solution is.

2024-07-03 SNWG SEP Weekly Planning Meeting

• Ready to send to NASA Comms?
  • Clay brought up great points, but it should be considered done. We may not want to spend too much time promoting this since we came in just to bridge a gap.
  • The data in the EarthData search portal aren’t necessarily matching what’s on the fact sheet. Could take away that number 44. Do we need to adjust the tagging in EarthData portal? Clay will send search link to Natasha. Intentionally took out the Ocean Color, but may need looked at again. Jeremy (expert) did direct what was to be updated. It does get complex. Natasha can send this link to Jeremy, but according to him, the fact sheet is correct.

  • Is Jeremy Werdell (Ocean Ecology Lab)(deep weeds of the algo) the PoC instead of Brian Franz (data processing)
  • Natasha: OK word from Jeremy on the significance of 44: Earth Data Search has “collections”. There are 44 collections listed, not products. Chl, for example, gets counted multiple times, e.g., they consider L3 maps and L3 bins individually. Therefore, I think we're good on all counts.

  • In the latest DAAC stats spreadsheet (June 2024), for this solution they only include the “SMAP_RSS_L2_SSS_V5” product (it is the only SMAP RSS SSS product in the SNWG EDS portal) but there are three others (SMAP_RSS_L2_SSS_NRT_V5, SMAP_RSS_L3_SSS_SMI_8DAY-RUNNINGMEAN_V5, SMAP_RSS_L3_SSS_SMI_MONTHLY_V5) - V6 also now available - we included the L2C NRT and L3 products in the factsheet, is this correct?

Essence has questions about the Sea Ice fact sheet. The flag is the SNWG product. There are new data products available now that are for v5. May need to contact the solution team to clarify. Should follow up with NOAA to see about usage and awareness for potential impact story.

  • Gerald replied on 9/9 that he would send revisions soon for the High-Resolution North America NISAR fact sheet and the NISAR Soil Moisture fact sheet
  • The Pandora/Air Quality fact sheet is now available on the SEP Earthdata page
  • PBL fact sheet finalized and available on the SNWG Solutions page
  • Rachel sent the HLS-VI fact sheet to the NASA Comms team for review
  • The Sea Surface Salinity with Sea Ice Mask fact sheet is ready for review.

  • Rachel is working with NASA Comms to get the original files for the HLS, ICESat-2, OPERA (3), and TEMPO fact sheets that were redesigned by the NASA Comms team but we did not have the original Adobe files for to edit
