Natasha Sadoff 1:51 PM Update from Tom on the impact story template and the specific story from ARS! He said it was AMAZING and he was about to send it to Grace Hu at OMB. Yay! He wants us to send these to him as often as we have them, then he distributes directly to Karen, Nicky Fox (SMD Leadership), and even OMB directly. Though a couple things he asked us to revise and keep in mind for the future, including emphasizing the sad puppy --> NASA solution --> happy puppy narrative. Can we please update the 1-slide version so that I can re-send to all of ESD? The first bullet in the short version needs to be tightened - in 1 sentence, what is the problem? Be direct and concise. I think it just needs some slight re-wording to focus on a lack of resources to measure biomass across the whole range from the ground. When talking about impact in the 3rd bullet, we must use quantifiable detail. For example, how many people are accessing these model outputs, how many acres is the range, how many cows are we helping... we need numbers (even if estimated) and detail. Maybe we can just add how big the range is? Can we ask Sean Kearny how many ranches could theoretically access this? S.M.A.R.T. stuff. He also wants to see a photo that represents the impact (i.e., PEOPLE benefiting). SERVIR does this part well. But again, yay! Great job getting this together! Now to set the infrastructure up to get these monthly (or every other month ). Once we have a final version, let's share with the solution implementation teams so that they can also be creating these with/for us.

Add/highlight SNWG ALL impact stories slide deck from ESDEarthAction Sharepoint, organized programmatically. Natasha: develop cadence of 1st of month to plan follow-ups to complete impact story slides. Additional Context
USDA-HLS Example Impact Story 1-Slide Template USDA-HLS Example Impact Story 3-Slide Template Natasha sent two versions of impact stories; considering SERVIR sends impact slide monthly to Tom and Emily. They do like the monthly slide. She will review two versions of story and will let us know. Question: what cadence would we like? What strategy should we have to get these stories together, what will we do with them, and how often should we send them to upper management? SERVIR approach: trying to get their slides published in a particular publication. SERVIR aims for inclusion on Science.NASA.gov Emily: “We like getting these; I will review” Tom is on vacation.
