We use CILogon for identity provider federation to support identities from various institutions like universities.

The service is only free of charge "for academic research projects", though.

So we may need a subscription, which costs $15,450 per year (Essential Service), no? I hear, though, that 2i2c has some agreement with CILogon?

Acceptance criteria

[ ] Determined whether VEDA requires a CILogon subscription and if, how we can get it or wether the cost / benefit ratio is acceptable

This is an important question to answer before we go to production! But shouldn't affect the ongoing evaluation, as this would affect both existing solutions equally.
