This notebook looks interesting, but I am wondering where it came from? Is there some other repository of notebooks that are referenced in VEDA discoveries?

slesaad commented 1 year ago

@jsignell one of the discoveries referenced this notebook, but the link was broken; so we thought this would be a good place to host it. I don't think there's any other repository for notebooks referenced in Discoveries.

jsignell commented 1 year ago

I guess my question is where did the content of this notebook come from?

slesaad commented 1 year ago

@jsignell @KathyNie probably created the content, she is one of the EIS scientists who worked on the discovery

jsignell commented 1 year ago

Ok! Just trying to get a sense of what all exists :) If it's ok with you @KathyNie I'll just update this to add a header for the veda-docs publishing tool

KathyNie commented 1 year ago

@jsignell yes, feel free to update as you see fit. Thanks!

Just a quick follow up question. This notebook references local data. Is that available somewhere on s3 or better yet is it indexed in a STAC catalog?

KathyNie commented 1 year ago

I think the two datasets that are used to produce the two global maps are indexed in a STAC catalog:

The three time series datasets are not in a STAC catalog but are available in the veda-config GitHub under veda-config/discoveries:
