To address differences across the various nodes' deployments of this widget in links (color, focus, icon), lists, and the footer.
Also took the opportunity to make the close 'X' button more visible.

This has been deployed to pds-gamma, but changes on the other sites (e.g. https://sbn.psi.edu/pds/ and https://pdssbn.astro.umd.edu/) will not be visible without our/their redeployment.
