Changes so send mail works if configured. Missing imports. Missing send_email parameters Variables fix

When will this changes to send mail be pushed/available? As I can see parts of this new code are integrated, but not everything?! See line 364/365 (commited) and line 371/372 (not commited).

This has since been cleaned up and will include the fix for line 317/372. Thank you for catching that and earlier issues. A new release will be coming out very soon that incorporates fixes to sendmail; a lot of code has been added since, hence this merge will be bypassed in favor of the new release. Thank you all for your input -- it's been much appreciated!
