Definition of temp folder in ADSM Workspace #973

I'm working on documentation. I see a folder called temp, that is holding the populations I imported. Is this all that it will hold? And will it hold them forever?

missyschoenbaum commented 4 years ago

And does it matter if a user deletes them?

ConradSelig commented 4 years ago

I believe that any files in there currently were put in there during the big shift of import/export file structures. Additional files should not be put in the "temp" folder anymore.

Regardless, it definitely does not matter if the user deletes any files in the temp folder if ADSM is not running. I don't think any other program functions use the folder, but a "temp" folder by definition should not hold files between program runs.

Excellent. I assume it will make the temp folder again if someone deletes it. I will take this for documentation
