Dusting things off

Some things are getting a bit old. Do these things as soon as I find the time:

• [ ] Update the Python packages.
• [ ] Replace flask-script by the new flask command.
• [ ] Replace NPM and Bower by Yarn.
• [ ] Update all NPM packages.
• [ ] Get rid of obsolete parts of the codebase.
