I can't review this because it is my pull request.

Changes needed:

guide/DART_LAB/DART_LAB.rst needs to have the new section 4. & probably the new tutorial exercises.

section 3 different title, needs updating in readme section 4 different style (some previous version of the CISL branding, not the latest NSF NCAR), also weird characters. Note I have not (and will not - this pull request is a dump of content) look super closely at these slides this just stuck out: Don't have the original slides to make any changes.
