Description:
The coupled and land only PPE projects identified fff (the decay factor for fractional saturated area) as a parameter that could help snow melt. Ultimately, this may be better for coupled runs, but we'll test it here for starters.
It looks the the default value for fff is 0.5, which was set to 0.02 in the PPE
I'd build on the Sturm case, #10
starting an AD spinup with initial conditions from the postAD Sturm run
setting reseed=.true.
