I was able to download it with a Mac browser, copy it back to Windows, run a virus check on it, and it came up clean. So this must just be an aberration with Chrome and Edge security.

@enjaysea, I'm not able to reproduce this on my test systems. I have a few questions:

Are you running any antivirus software?

Is the error message the same when reported by edge and chrome?

Could you tell us what version of Windows you're running, and what version of chrome?

Is there any chance you could provide a screenshot of the error that's being reported as well?

I did some more digging and one potential solution is to edit the registry key below and set it to 1.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >SOFTWARE >Microsoft >Windows >CurrentVersion >Policies >Attachments->ScanWithAntiVirus

To get to your Registry Editor, press winKey+R, then type 'regedit' into the text box. Navigate to the ScanWithAntiVirus entry and change it from 3 to 1.

Back from a week off. To answer your questions: I'm only using Windows' built-in security. No 3rd party virus checkers. And once I did get the file from my Mac and transferred it over, Windows' virus scan identified no issues with the file. It's just the browsers' security that causes the problem.

For some reason, I don't get an error anymore from Chrome. I still get the error with Edge, and the error says "VAPOR-3.4.0.exe was blocked because it could harm your device"

Versions: Windows 10 Pro, v2004, OS build 19041.1052 Edge: Version 91.0.864.67 (Official build) (64-bit)
