Adding text to an image #3287

It would be great if there was a quick and easy way to add text to an image. I have a visualization of some WRF data over the US and I’d like to add some text (and maybe also a marker) at various locations to indicate key landmarks such as cities. There is a work-around (suggested on vapor discourse here) for now using image renderer but this seems cumbersome.
