Weather stations communication failing #244

The weather station seems to be failing but I am not sure why. Have tried changing the drivers that control the moxa RS232 to USB converter. More info when I have it.

I get the labview error -1073807360 when trying to initialize communication with the weather station. No details yet other than a more specific error description.

Tried uninstalling the new driver on MPD03 and switching port. Want to see if this revert solves the problem before wasting time debugging.

Installed a new driver from Moxa today on MPD 02 and MPD03. Tried on MPD05 but it didn't work, but seems to be running on the other 2. Only been a few hours but much better so far than the last driver that failed in 20 minutes. Will try tomorrow on MPD04 and try to push it onto MPD05 and actually get it to run.

Installed on MPD04 yesterday as well. Only one failure so far (on MPD03) and I am not totally convinced that this was the same problem. Still monitoring.

Okay...all 5 weather stations running. Status:

MPD01: Always fine because it is not running the moxa converter. MPD02: Running somewhat stable on the Moxa V1.9.3 driver. This is the least stable system MPD03: Running stable on the Moxa V1.9.3 driver.
MPD04: Running stable on the Moxa V1.9.3 driver.
MPD03: Running stable on the Moxa V1.9.3 driver. Weather station was broken and the 2 wire communication sleeve was wired backwards. All problems fixed and the weather station was replaced with the one from the roof above the north lab port in the building.

Com ports are starting to fail with increased regularity. Not sure yet the extent of the problem.

Replaced all of the Moxa converters with different converters to match MPD01 on April 5th. Testing now but behaved so far.

Behaved during all of testing...so hopefully this issue is a non-issue.
