One of the steps that needs to be made to move the MPD software off of windows is to remove the GPIB to USB cable currently connecting the Thor8000 box. A GPIB to ethernet converter has been bought but the software needs to handle that change effectively.

Seems to be working but I had some problems: 1) Had to power cycle the Thor8000 box...otherwise it was just not responding at all 2) Having to send "Set" commands twice because it seems like the first version is either ignored or rejected.

All the code needed to do this has been added. Any other issues that pop up will be bugs with that...so I am going to close this and create other issues as they come.
