I ran this for years 2-18 this morning, just to see how the runs are comparing to F cases I have. Overall, I think this is pretty reasonable:

The B case has a wider region of winds < 6/ms in the tropics, though the minimum seems to be a bit higher in the Indian Ocean. The gustiness that's added though is around the same magnitude - maybe a bit stronger in the Indian Ocean and central West Pacific where PRECC is higher.

The PRECC response is stronger here than in the F cases I've tested though (same color bar used):

nino3.4 SST anomalies analysis looks much better than #420 with an amplitude comparable to obs.

Clearly an improvement. Related - does 61 show any improvements over 54, where we reverted the ice fraction mods https://github.com/NCAR/amwg_dev/issues/434? I'd like to rule out whether icefrac matters for nino so we can stop having to think about it.

Updated 64 above out to 36 years. Still really low power compared to first 35 years of 54. Just to confirm @cecilehannay that 54 and 64 have the same initial condition, and all that is different in the configuration is gustiness is turned on?
