78c ran for 16 years. It started at the same spot as 78b with a pertlim perturbation.
The 78c tracks very closely 78b and displays a similar warming trend. For me, it was a valuable exercise as I didn't anticipate that both lines would be so similar. The state that led to the warming in 78b is clearly included in the initialization. I don't see a need to extend 78c further. It might be interesting to start another run 78d from a different point (say at year 75).
Thoughts?
Purpose:
Experiment 78b, which began from the baseline of Experiment 75 in year 101, showed significant initial warming. 78c aims to determine if a perturbed run would exhibit the same behavior.
