Purpose: Testing if the difference in SW over topography between cam6_3_153 and cam6_3_132 are coming from the way we read the topography.

Description: same as f.cam6_3_153.FLTHIST_ne30.001 (#153) except code mod to revert reading in PHIS on the GLL grid:

/glade/campaign/cesm/cesmdata/cseg/runs/cesm2_0/f.cam6_3_153.FLTHIST_ne30.GLL_grid.001/SourceMods/src.cam/dyn_comp.F90

It does not look like reading in topography on the GLL grid (or not) is significant (as I was expecting).

Quick and preliminary southeast Pacific cloud analysis. I'll add more when I can. sepac_clouds_20240413.pdf

Okay, one small adjustment to my previous plots: I changed the cloud liquid water from ERA5 to AMSR2 (2012-2023). The result is qualitatively the same, with CAM having too much liquid. f cam6_3_153 FLTHIST_ne30 GLL_grid 001_TGCLDLWP_sepac_seasonalcycle

And my last update for today. I've added the VOCALS transect along 20°S to my prototype code. Here's an example comparing CLDLIQ to ERA5 in SON (the cloudy season). The ERA5 data is on 37 standard pressure levels, and the CAM data is just on lev (i.e., not correct pressure levels yet). f cam6_3_153 FLTHIST_ne30 GLL_grid 001_CLDLIQ_SON_sepac_20sTransect
