I have been looking at the 28 day intensity synoptic maps. My first two observations are 1) do not use a gamma function when creating the gif synoptic maps. the gamma function is used to offset the radial brightness gradient with height, but the maps are all at one height. Gamma function is not needed or wanted. 2) The 28 day synoptic fits images are saturated in places but the level 1 fits images are not saturated. Action items:

• [ ] Turn off the gamma function for the synoptic map gif images
• [ ] Determine why the 28 day synoptic map fits images are saturated in some coronal locations when the level 1 fits images are not saturated.
