1) the land cover type plot is incorrect - seems to plot land cover=1 with the same color as land cover=0. other land covers seem ok, and the actual outputs seem ok
2) the jupyterhub script dies and kills the kernel after the canopy plot -- but generates the plot and data file correctly on disk, just not in the notebook. it drops a large core file.
