Instead of running against the conda packages, I use here the packages from the used Linux distributions.

Since the ubuntu package 'python3-coverage' provides coverage as python3-coverage I adapted the bash script.

Thanks also for submitting this PR, @daniel-mohr. As with your other PR here, I will review it shortly, by early next working week at the latest. Generally, though, it seems like a very good idea to run against packages from the distro rather than from conda, so this will be a very welcome addition.
