JG asked VR to email all "first cut" applicants that they were not chosen. Not sure if this is my domain or not but I will try to work it in this week.

Thank you for your application to the Data Science Fellowship at NCEAS. We received over 80 applications for 6 fellowship positions, and were blown away by the caliber and experiences of people who applied.

We are not able to offer you a fellowship at this time, but want to thank you for considering joining us for six months to support data science at the Arctic Data Center and on the State of Alaska's Salmon and People (SASAP) project.
