FAQ and helper text should link to EML FAQ https://knb.ecoinformatics.org/#external//emlparser/docs/eml-2.1.1/eml-faq.html

jagoldstein commented 6 years ago

updated links to existing FAQ: https://nceas.github.io/datateam-training/reference/pi-faqs.html which I would like to move to include here instead: https://nceas.github.io/datateam-training/reference/email-templates.html (see https://github.com/NCEAS/datamgmt/issues/124)

I will review the new Draft FAQ (sorry we didn't get to this sooner). @vlraymond do you prefer that I fork the repo and make editing suggestions as pull requests or should I just push my changes?

vlraymond commented 6 years ago

@jagoldstein I guess I'd just make a new branch w your edits.

No worries, I didn't ask you all to look at it until just y'day because I felt like there was a lot on your plate with testing the editor, new fellowship applications, etc.

jagoldstein commented 6 years ago

ok @vlraymond I submitted a PR with my edits to merge my branch to the master

vlraymond commented 6 years ago

So I reviewed Jesse's PR. I don't think I have write permissions to commit the PR (or II am doing this wrong)... anyways so it's reviewed but not committed. @mbjones

@kameyer we are clear to go ahead and update this page with the content from here

kameyer commented 6 years ago

great, thanks @jagoldstein!

kameyer commented 6 years ago

The FAQ page on the website has been updated with the improved content (https://arcticdata.io/q-and-a/)

jagoldstein commented 6 years ago

@kameyer this is great, thanks! I just noticed one minor formatting issue:

screen shot 2018-05-15 at 2 39 02 pm

these 3 hyphenated points should each be on a separate line (bulleted), or simply turned into a sentence with a list.

kameyer commented 6 years ago

Edited to make the answer a sentence (and gave Large Files and Submitting Code and Scripts there own linked headers in the Table of Contents list)
