For the SASAP project, we plan to evaluate the ERDDAP data processing software as a server-side service that would be used in the MetacatUI MetadataView to be able to explore, filter, and visualize large tabular datasets. This tickets tracks the high-level design documentation for this proposal.

Emily, Jeanette - I started the architecture document and added a few of the top level components and an example interaction. I've added TODOs in the .rst file on what else we need off the top of my head, but feel free to run with it.
