Author: Mohammad Yassin Topic: algae blooms

Context

Clear understating of the causes would be relevant to predict temporal and special distribution of algae blooms. Understating processes (biological, chemical, physical) and their interactions will be important in this endeavor. Biological data such algae species, reproduction mechanisms, and substrate used for growth would be required. Chemical data such as water quality, dissolved oxygen, pH, organic and inorganic compound directly related to algae blooms would be necessary. Physical processes such as temperature, water stratification would be essential. Data gathered will undergo a regress process to make sure the data is valid and accurate. The biological, chemical, physical processes would be evaluated and their interactions would be examined to develop a model for algae bloom. One third of the data would be used to conduct sensitivity analysis, and a third for model prediction, and one third of data for model validation.
