User reported issue when doing the monthly squash. The client reported a server side error, and was unable to login to the server, as was the case for other users.
It looks like the client may have lost the connection after the squash but before the user had unpaused the server. The server log indicated some edit attempts occurred while server was in maintenance mode.
The server was restarted and normal editing has resumed.
Something like this scenario can possibly be tested on one of the other tiers and may be reproducible.
