Main Navigation Bar on Microsites - Search Icon is misaligned #3516

Open bennettcc opened 2 years ago

bennettcc commented 2 years ago

On microsites that use the standard, cancer.gov theme, such as sbir.cancer.gov and ccg-cms.cancer.gov (not yet launched) - the 'Search' icon isnt aligned correctly within the main nav bar at the mobile breakpoint.

The search icon is currently showing towards the left/middle of the main navigation bar (see attached screenshot for example). The placement of the search icon on microsites should match how it is displayed on other microsites such as dceg.cancer.gov and cancer.gov. The search icon should be on the right side of the bar, exactly opposite of the 'Menu' hamburger icon,

ESTIMATE TBD

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Navigate to sbir.cancer.gov at the mobile breakpoint
  2. Note that the search icon is not aligned correctly, on the right side of the screen

@bennettcc considering this will be resolved with the NCIDS MVP, is this really an issue and can we close this?

bennettcc commented 2 years ago

@bryanpizzillo Initially, Anna and Lynn suggested in be prioritized for work shortly after the SBIR launch (on 8/29). Great point on the MVP angle - will ask and confirm before we start on this.

Per 9/13 discussion with Lynn and Anna, this should not be worked on as it will be resolved/replaced by MVP1 release - it can be closed out after MVP1
