Cancer.gov Homepage Returning 404 Page Not Found Error #4371

Description of Issue

Status: Resolved on 06/20/2024 around 2:40pm.
Issue and resolution: On 06/20/2024 around 2:15pm, it was reported that the Cancer.gov Homepage was returning a 404 Page Not Found error (screenshot below). The issue was discovered by a user who published an update to the Spanish version of the Homepage. Upon publishing the Spanish Homepage, the language toggle disappeared for English. The team reverted to a version of the English Homepage from 06/19/2024 which restored the page content.
Cause: We believe that the homepage became corrupted upon saving due to an editing conflict between users. We understand this to be an isolated/one-time issue. This was a content based solution that did not require a hotfix.
