7 years ago Excel Export Only Chosen Park/Year vs. All Data
If you want all of the chosen park/year's data as shown in the query result:
- Choose park/year & run report/query as desired
- Navigate to Access menu's "External Data" tab & click Excel Export
- In the "Export - Excel Spreadsheet" dialog box's "Specify export options" section select the "Export data with formatting and layout option"
- Click to open the destination file option if desired and click "OK"
If you want a specific subset (range of contiguous records) of the chosen park/year's data as shown in the query result:
- Choose park/year & run report/query as desired
- Highlight the records desired (only contiguous records can be selected) in the query result
- Navigate to Access menu's "External Data" tab & click Excel Export
- In the "Export - Excel Spreadsheet" dialog box's "Specify export options" section select the "Export data with formatting and layout option"
- Also check the "Export only the selected records" option (this option is only enabled when you select records in the query result first)
- Click to open the destination file option if desired and click "OK"
If you want all the records even if you already ran a query that limited the data to a given park/year:
- Choose park/year & run report/query as desired
- Navigate to Access menu's "External Data" tab & click Excel Export
- In the "Export - Excel Spreadsheet" dialog box's "Specify export options" section leave all options (aside from the open file if desired) unchecked
- Click to open the destination file option if desired and click "OK"
Transect_Data query (query called from frm_Monitoring_Transect) - export to Excel: This issue is more of an annoyance. When you select a park and year, the results for the selected park and year are displayed as expected. However, when you export the results to Excel, it exports data for all years and all parks (2000+ records, since we are running this against the master backend). Again, just an annoyance. If it can be easily fixed now, great, but let's not delay the release further to fix it.
