HPC | Backup System #218

  1. Ensure system functioning as expected.
  2. Review lab tech manual and update as needed.
  3. Remove extraneous "." in folder names (and manually clean existing backups).

Should work now! I'll check the next backup log to make sure.

@davhunt I just took a look with some files for readAloud-valence-dataset. I can see that the period is now gone (yay!), but I'm not seeing a backup I was expecting. (Verifying on 1/30 and the file was created 1/27.) What is the frequency of backups, because maybe I'm not inside the window yet?

@jessb0t Loooks like it runs midnight twice a week Sunday and Wednesday mornings so maybe check tomorrow morning? Not sure why it wasn't backed up Sunday though. crontab

backup_logs Should see a "1_29_2023" there maybe there was some error with the script

@davhunt I just re-checked and there is still no backup of the file I was using as my test, which is the "_reconciled" folder for sub-150079:

Confirmed today that I was able to locate and restore from backups an item created in the last month!
