HPC Onboarding/Refresher hands-on session to get everybody fully capable of handling the HPC

• antivirus installation
• necessary installations for HPC access
• how to access
• general how-to (viewing/manipulating data, not running slurm scripts)
• structure (how junior RAs have access to some things but not all things)
• security and best practices guidance

Pre-reqs:

1. added to NDCLab group on HPC
2. attended HPC onboarding session with IRCC

Note: Cannot actually grant project access during this session as new team members will not yet be on the IRBs.

HPC Analysis Session I anticipate this would be the incoming PhDs, the three senior RAs, and JA

• connection between hpc and github repos
• how to run scripts (focus on analyses)

GitHub Team Power-Up

Wednesday: 90-minute session where all lab members in attendance complete Get with Git; those who have already completed it serve as tutors when people get stuck. This is a lead-up to the activity on Friday to ensure everyone has the tech skills.

Thursday: 60-minute session on the GitHub workflow, our lab's GitHub etiquette, and ZenHub. This is a lead-up to the activity on Friday to ensure that everyone has an introduction to the workflow.

Friday: 90-minute breakout sessions where project teams work together (and floaters like the PhD students are assigned to particular groups for relatively even numbers) to craft the content for each project-specific page, utilizing the GitHub workflow and ZenHub. Intended end product is a PR from each group to update the project-specific page on the wiki.
