Smart and simple indoor mapping, for everyone.
An average person can spend up to 90% of their time in indoor environments. Yet, isn’t it radical that major location-oriented solutions in the market are still exclusive to outdoor environments?

A map is a product that touches all points of our lives. Not only does it help us get to one place from another, a map also helps us build and understand the world we exist in, no matter outdoors or indoors.

Mapxus is an all-rounded PropTech solutions partner in indoor mapping applications. We put people first, and we are dedicated to empowering people, businesses, and cities through creating a barrier-free and inclusive urban environment.

We help to fulfill smart mobility through closing the gap between digital maps and indoor environments, to revolutionize our interactions with the physical space, as well as to deliver a comfortable, intuitive, and seamless indoor-outdoor experience for everyone.

Since our data is currently stored in our own storage containers, my main task will be organizing and classifying the data, such as geometric data, interactive data, and accessibility data, ensuring that each category has a clear structure and proper labels during storage.

For tools, I might use the following:
•Python: Writing cleaning scripts to process redundant data and remove empty data points.
•QGIS: Utilizing geographic information system tools to clean and optimize indoor map shapefiles.
•FFmpeg: Performing format conversion and compression for multimedia files.

We have not previously stored our data on the Filecoin network, but we believe that storing it on a distributed network offers several advantages:
1.Data Redundancy: Distributed storage prevents data loss, which is especially important for high-value data like indoor maps.
2.Cost Optimization: For larger multimedia files (e.g., high-resolution indoor images), Filecoin’s long-term storage solutions provide cost advantages.
3.Security: Supports encrypted data storage, protecting private data and sensitive business information.

Storing this data on the Filecoin network effectively addresses issues of storage scalability, data security, and global accessibility while supporting an intelligent indoor navigation ecosystem. Therefore, we have decided to submit this application.
