{Title} NEAR is the Blockchain for AI
{Intro}
NEAR is the Blockchain for AI! Let's see what progress has been made in this week's edition of the NEAR Dev News.
{Include} NEAR AI Agents Create an AI agent to perform specific tasks in web2 or web3 in a matter of minutes. Getting started is easy, take a look at the workshop and read the documentation.
{Include} Omni Bridge The Omni Bridge was announced at REDACTED that aggregates multiple cross chain interoperability solutions (such as chain signatures, light clients and message passing protocols) into one interface. Omni bridge looks to offer simplistic bridging between NEAR and other chains to further chain abstraction. Watch the talk from Bowen Wang here.
{Include} Decentralized State Sync nearcore 2.4.0 looks to introduce decentralized state sync. This means nodes will be able to sync from other nodes, instead of downloading an entire snapshot. This means it will take less time to synchronize a new node and it increases the decentralization of the network. Take a look at the release notes for more details.
{Include} The Illusion of Speed Blockchains are inherently slow, but there are ways to make your DApp appear faster: • Auto-retry sending TXs • Human-readable live status updates • All historical transactions Take a further look at how to make your DApp faster and the recent announcement of the FastNEAR transaction API from Evgeny's talk.
{Include} Watch all the REDACTED Talks If you felt like you missed out on REDACTED, you can watch all the talks on the NEAR Youtube Channel.
{Include} AI Research Hub One of the most exciting announcements from REDACTED was the launch of the AI Research Hub. The first main goal of the hub is to bring researchers together to train a 1.4 trillion parameter, monetizable model in a decentralized way. The competition has started now with a 0.5B parameter model. Explore the Research Hub and take a look at NEAR AI's blog post for more details.
{Include} NEAR AI Assistant The next big announcement from the NEAR AI team was the alpha launch of the NEAR AI Assistant. This assistant takes AI assistants to the next level by being able to take actions for the user and generating inline interactive frontends on the fly. Check out the AI Assistant blog post for further information.
{Include} Intents: A New Type of Transaction A new addition to the NEAR Protocol was announced at REDACTED. Intents allow users to express what they want to happen and let other on-chain participants figure out how to execute it. While intents look to be extremely useful for enabling on-chain AI agents, they are also being used to streamline multichain DeFi. Take a further look at what intents are and what they unlock here.

{No quote this week} "I think the most exciting thing about the next 12 months is going to be the massive amount of attention that's going to come into the space and what we're going to be able to do with that" - Whitney Gibbs, Ringfence AI
