The new name will better reflect how the branches relate to the TAPAS servers. Most other @NEU-DSG repositories use "main" as the default branch name, but "production" works better for TAPAS given that the main branch reflects the production server, and the default branch "develop" is a new version of TAPAS currently in development, but not publicly accessible. "Production" makes the distinction (somewhat) clearer.
Make this change after all pull requests are resolved, and active work on the new version of TAPAS has stopped.
