Container file formats

Some file formats can contain multiple images: LIF, OME-Zarr, are there others?

Should they be taught separately?

Dealing with them in practice in my experience requires special skills.

Personally, I group LIF together with other Bio-Formats dependent file types (in the sense of reading them), since many users have those and are familiar with their handling or at least the characteristic of contained series. I cannot comment on OME-Zarr
