I will try to think of a acronym :smile_cat:
some trials with chatGPT:

Q:
Hi, we are hosting a website with training resources for bioimage analysis teaching; this is a community project, which is open and free and everyone can contribute (on github) and use and review the material. It is continuously updated and extended.
Now, we need a name for it, ideally one that has a fun acronym. Can you help with this by making some suggestions?
^D
A:
BioImage Analysis Resource and Training Hub (BIRTH)
Q:
Great! Could you give some more?
^D
A:
1. BioImage Learning and Analysis Network (BILAN)
2. Open Resource for Image Analysis in Science Education (ORIASE)
3. BioImage Community Hub for Education and Research (BICHER)
Q:
Maybe also include the word "modular"?
^D
A:
Modular Open BioImage Training Hub (MOBITH)
Q:
In fact, the point that it is modular is very important, do you have more ideas including the term modular or something similar?
^D
A:
1. Modular Analysis and Learning for BioImages (MALBI)
2. Modular BioImage Education and Resource Kit (MOBERK)
3. Modular Learning Hub for Image Analysis (MoLHIA)
Maybe BART for Bioimage Analysis Resources for Training?
"I want to prepare a course but don't know how....no problem , just use the BART."
Hi @tischi! I'm afraid I only have quite rubbish suggestions: BANTeR - Bioimage ANalysis Training e-Resources (the 'e' is a phenomenal stretch) ORBIT - Online Resource for BioImage analysis Training (big minus that it doesn't have the A for analysis in it :( ) BATMAN - Bioimage Analysis Training Modules Associated with NEUBIAS (absurd)
I then fell down a wikipedia hole of bat species to see if there was a catchy short type of BAT that could be used, but unfortunately it look like all bats have comically long and weirdly descriptive names (I'm looking at you, Naked-rumped pouched bat)
WOMBAT - World of Open Modules for Bioimage Analysis Training (with thanks to @superresolusian for the inspiration 😆)
ORBIT - Online Resource for BioImage analysis Training (big minus that it doesn't have the A for analysis in it :( )
ORBITAL - Online Resource for BioImage analysis Training And Learning (is this something?)
WOMBAT is fun, but the "World" thing is a bit strange...
"better" would be:
COMBAT - Collection of Open Modules for Bioimage Analysis Training
🙄
It certainly makes more sense, but the potential for a cute logo/mascot is greatly reduced!

I've been trying to make BANTAM work (cute mascot potential) but struggling with the second A - Bioimage ANalysis Training (Aaaargh!) Module
Maybe BART for Bioimage Analysis Resources for Training?

BART is too close to BARD (Google ChatGPT)
Writing on a publication about this right now and that is the current title: "Open-access modular and updatable community resources for bioimage analysis training"; maybe that helps for finding a nice acronym?
@miura pointed out that it would be good if those training resources would have a name.
I usually speak of them as the NEUBIAS training resources, but I think that's not ideal, because there may be other NEUBIAS training resources coming up in the future and then we should be able to distinguish.
@miura @manerotoni @tibuch @tobyhodges do you have suggestions?
