doesn't need to be perfect. just communicate direction and what exist right now. (all pieces are there)

auditing and cleaning up private data is my blocker for this.. how much is enough to share without literally doxxing myself

imo, adding private data was a mistake from the start. Removing it is difficult/not worth it (but can be done with git filter-branch iirc), might just want to reboot the git history from scratch (you can push the old history to a private repo).

I'm generally very skeptical of all "I'll open source this later" because it tends to not happen at all if not done from the start.
