References not rendered in main text body or at the end of page

In the "docs/_Research-Data-Management/02-rdm.md" references are not rendered in main body of text.

From rendered page: "{% cite RfII_RD bres_2022 voigt_2022 %}"

Where reference list should be, gets rendered as: "{% bibliography --cited_in_order %}"

Probably something is up with the either jekyll-scholar plug-in or config files.
