blood magic glitch? #50

So I finally got into the blood magic mod and I've run into a very odd glitch that I can't explain. I go into the dungeon and I want to harvest the blocks inside. To be efficient I use veinminer to dig a whole bunch out at once. This hasn't always happened but it happens most times where veinminer will suddenly stop working and at the same time, broken blocks will stop dropping (I have a silk touch pickaxe). I have to totally close minecraft and reopen it to make it work again (quitting to title screen doesn't work)

Update: I have a solid idea of what's causing the glitch. The demon stone blocks drop things when broken. Something about that and breaking too many at once is causing the glitch.
