The patch and cohort fusion description in the Tech Doc seems to be a bit out of date? For example, the tech doc says that cohorts are fused based on similar heights - but in the code it is by DBH (albeit these are allometrically related). It would also be nice to include notes about when cohorts/patches are forced to be fused (or prevented from being fused), and how the cohorts are fused based on a weighted sum.
