The dataset description field in NGEE-Tropics archive currently does not have a limit on length, while the ESS-DIVE abstract has character limit of 5,000 characters.
A 4,000 character limit should be added to the NGEE-Tropics archive to reduce chances of hitting the ESS-DIVE limit.
Similar to the Dataset Reference(s) field, a sentence explaining this limit should be added to the end of the field instructions popup.
Add "This field has a limit of 4,000 characters." after "Include details on what data what, when and where data was collected, and if any data processing was done." and before the italicized example.
