Regarding to the 2nd request, I've got the following suggestion from GBIF:
"Thank you for contacting us. We agreed on using the collection code for your sub-collection. Unfortunately, the hierarchical structure is not supported for the collection code. We would like to suggest that you keep the current core dataset and update collection codes within the dataset. Currently, all occurrences in the dataset use the “C” collection, but you can create sub-collections instead (i.e. C-BDC, C-DAH, C-FDC etc.) and link occurrences to them. The occurrences can be filtered like this in GBIF.
We manage information on physical collections in the Global Registry of Scientific Collections (GRSciColl), and you can create your sub-collections here (see this blog post). Please let us know if you have any questions."
[x] 1) This is a minor thing, but I would like the Specify pillar (right term?) of “Biocultural Collection” to be renamed “Biocultural Collections”, to encompass new accensions (specifically 2023-CB-001, which I will add 7000+ objects from once I learn to import from spreadsheets)
[ ] 2) Is it possible to add a solution, so that the Preparation->Storage->Collection is carried on to GBIF, in a way so that the Collection Name can act as a collection identifier in GBIF. As we will have more and more collections especially in GBIF Dataset NHMD Vascular Plants, and filtering on collection level would be a very useful/essential feature.
