Problems with deleting in ‘Preparations’ #277

When I try to remove (minus symbol) one out of two in Preparation the following Error pops up when i try to Save

!Sorry, Something's gone a bit wrong There is an unrecoverable error that will not allow us to safely return to your current window. To avoid corrupting data records, we need to start again from a safe spot --the Home page.

Hi, I can see that this feather (object number 000011710) has two preparations indeed. May I ask which one you'd like to remove?

I'll try to reproduce the error, but I think that the reason you cannot remove the preparation is that the object is on loan at the moment.

Hi Regarding collection object 11710 The one I want to remove is the second one “Insektudstilling 2023”. We have Rank in our Storage Tree named MS-Udlån (Museum Salling on loan) but we don’t use the functionalities in Specify to manage our loan, so I don’t think that’s the problem.

Hi René, I could reproduce the error, and resolving the loan didn't solve the issue indeed. I need to ask your patience, we're looking into it.

Hi Just tried to move the one that was supposed to be deleted to the same Storage as the other one. It went well so now it’s in the right place just twice, so there’s no rush to solve the problem 😊

Thanks for the update, René! It’s nice that you found a workaround. A server upgrade is coming in this year, which is supposed to solve many of the current bugs/issues – hopefully this would be one of those. If not, we’ll get back to it.
