Dear all,

I would like to invite you to a digitization training day at Herbarium C. I think the best plan of action could be a morning walkthrough of the entire process, followed by some one-on-one time at the workstations.

10 – 12 Walkthrough of process of digitization from assigning barcodes, entering data into the app and exporting the data from the app to imaging herbarium sheets, exporting images to the desired file type, and ingesting images to the shared network drive

13 – 15 One-on-one, hands-on time on the workstations as follows (or similarly) 13:00-13:30 Barcoding – Person 1 13:30-14:00 Imaging – Person 1 13:30-14:00 Barcoding – Person 2 14:00-14:30 Imaging – Person 2 14:00-14:30 Barcoding – Person 3 14:30-15:00 Imaging – Person 3

Please let me know if this time schedule works for you. There should be some time for you to check email, etc. before, at the lunch hour and around the one-on-one sessions. We also have some flexibility and can always shift things a little earlier, have someone take imaging before barcoding, or schedule someone who needs to leave early as ‘person 1’ in the second session.
