The frames were removed from V3+ to meet accessibility requirements.
During development of a new data set (using a preview in V3 style), we usually have a copy of an excel spreadsheet on one screen and the dictionary on another screen. This means we can check the order of items and item descriptions at the same time.
To do the same thing in V3+ we would have to:
access the item and then go back to go to the data set or
open the item up in a new frame / window and then return to the data set.
This will increase development time.
Is there a way to replicate frames (or something similar) in the Mauro preview that would meet the accessible criteria.
If this could be done in the preview initially, we may then want to think about doing something similar on the website but that can be considered later.
In V3 of the dictionary the data sets have frames, e.g. https://v3.datadictionary.nhs.uk/data_dictionary/messages/clinical_data_sets/data_sets/diagnostic_imaging_data_set_fr.asp?shownav=1 In V3+, there are no frames, e.g. https://www.datadictionary.nhs.uk/data_sets/clinical_data_sets/diagnostic_imaging_data_set.html#dataset_diagnostic_imaging_data_set
