Work Item save button no longer grey

There seems to have been a change in the validation for the Work Item. I have copied the instructions from last time. The save box was greyed out until the fields with a star had text added.

Why has this changed? It is useful to ensure all mandated information is recorded.

• Fill in the required fields Note: some of the fields are automatically populated, e.g. version no., background text.
• When all details have been added, click Save

The "Save" button will not be visible until all fields have been filled in. If the "Save" button is not visible, select Validate and a message will be shown against the field(s) that needs updating, for example:

Once all information has been saved, a message will be displayed to show that the profile has been added to the branch.

Validation has been removed so the Wiki page needs updating.

As far as I have always known Mauro to work and what @jamesrwelch has demonstrated to me, the profile fields provide a "Validate" function yet the values may always be saved regardless. Validation apparently means checking if required fields are present which can then be alerted to the user, but does not prevent them from being saved.

I consider this to be working as expected, therefore not a bug. If you would like this functionality changed, a change request will need to be raised with the Mauro team.

@pjmonks - please see my comment above "Validation has been removed so the Wiki page needs updating.". This issue has been accepted and already moved to "Ready for NHS E Testing".
