I think this might be limited to OmicsDI:BioStudies. Might just need to add a check in that parser to flip the @type
to Publication
. @gtsueng : have you ever dove into BioStudies? It looks like it's meant to be data associated w/ a publication, but also has records from European PMC?
The BioStudies database holds descriptions of biological studies, links to data from these studies in other databases at EMBL-EBI or outside, as well as data that do not fit in the structured archives at EMBL-EBI. The database can accept a wide range of types of studies described via a simple format. It also enables manuscript authors to submit supplementary information and link to it from the publication.
I have not looked at BioStudies, however the idea of Study as a type has been kicked around. A few years back, someone suggested the creation of a new type Study
, but the working group that proposed it didn't follow up to push the Study schema from DRAFT to RELEASE (https://bioschemas.org/types/Study/0.3-DRAFT).
NIAID noted some results that are publications rather than datasets that can be analyzed, like this one: https://data-staging.niaid.nih.gov/portal/resources/?id=OMICSDI_S-EPMC7363771
