The RFC recommends (but does not mandate) the implementation of secure transports for RTR communication. Fort's RTR serves in plain mode only, and as a result, the channel employed by Fort and the routers needs to exist in a trusted environment.

Can probably be fixed easily by replacing the current implementation with https://rtrlib.realmv6.org/.
