remove and tidy deprecated stdt functions #31

We need to remove the deprecated stdt functions from the main branch. They will always be accessible from the old committed versions, but we need to start getting things clean and tidy.

@Spatiotemporal-Exposures-and-Toxicology I was wondering if we shouldn't wait until Amadeus is load in beethoven (but maybe not). The last task concerning stdt changes is to correct everything beethoven library, but I do not know how to call Amadeus functions.

@eva0marques If the functions are no longer used in amadeus but they are needed in beethoven can you just move them to the beethoven repo?
