We have discussed publishing a small package with one big paper giving an overview and synthesis and each team having the opportunity to write up a small paper covering their methods, results, and conclusions about most effective approaches.

I have emailed PeerJ to see if they might be interested in publishing this type of collection.

I think the publication avenue is probably good for credit this year. Closing this in favor of #34.
